Corporations have seized control of the government. Greed fuels the financial industry, and Congress is a joke. Wages are too low and the cost of living is too high. The job market and infrastructure is a wreck. The middle class is disappearing, and more join the ranks of the working poor each day. Graduates are held hostage by huge debts for worthless degrees. The very planet we live on is being destroyed. These injustices are unsustainable. It's time to pay attention. It's time to revolt.
"Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will." - Frederick Douglass

THIS IS LITERALLY A FIGHT FOR LIFE!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
2011 WAS QUITE A YEAR! LET'S KEEP IT UP!
In a year full of historic events and memorable moments, there were many quotes that captured the intensity of our changing times. One of the best came from author and activist Chris Hedges when asked to explain what Occupy Wall Street protesters want. It is included in this most excellent video clip which follows.
WHAT DO OCCUPY PROTESTERS WANT?
"They know precisely what they want. They want to reverse the corporate coupe that has taken place in the United States- and they won't stop until that happens. And frankly, if we don't break the back of corporations we're all finished anyway, since they are rapidly trashing the ecosystem on which the human species depends for survival. This is literally a fight for life." - Chris Hedges
